Academy

At Lena & Lou we love it
convinced that purpose and profit
can go hand in hand.

We want to be both commercial and society-building. That is why we set up the Lena & Lou Academy: an experience center that, with the support of the Province of Antwerp, offers daytime activities to adults with intellectual disabilities in the North Antwerp region.

Within our studio you can develop your talents, hidden possibilities and skills at your own pace.

Those who want to and are ready can eventually move on from our academy to a paid job at Lena & Lou.

Our offer

We offer day care three days a week. What's on the agenda:

Baking the dog biscuits (devising and testing new recipes, preparing the dough, cutting out and baking biscuits, etc.)
Packaging the biscuits (labeling the bags, filling, sealing and storing the bags, preparing packages, etc.)
We go out one day a week. For example, we stand on local markets to sell our biscuits ourselves, we participate in dog walks, dog shows and/or fairs, ...

We guarantee professional guidance, a connecting and warm approach, with respect for everyone's individuality. Together we show how small cookies can make a big difference.

Where to do it?

Our studio is located on the old military domain in Brasschaat. In the middle of the greenery, on the edge of the nature reserve 't Klein Schietveld. We are surrounded by other social projects such as Perron Noord or the day center of care company Rotonde vzw, with whom we also work.
